We explored the experiencing of catching the 'last bus home'. We have shown the worst part, the waiting, waiting for the bus home. This dreaded event is added to by the wet, bitter weather and the monotony of passing traffic. The images show the process of waiting, the last image reveals that the waiting is over.

We focused on Morrissey's song 'Everyday is Like Sunday', and more specifically the line, 'this is the coastal town that they forgot to close down'. Like in the song we decided to split the line. To represent this we thought location was an important factor and chose Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, a notoriously rundown seaside town. The first line we felt was best represented through traditional seaside signage that would welcome people into the 'Coastal Town'. The rundown parts of the town influenced the second line. We took our finished installations to Clacton, where we chose to photograph the type in locations which suited the quote.
